The fundamental joy of keeping things clean, minimal and as simple as possible is unfounded – just look at Marie Kondo for proof – but what if opting for skincare products made with minimal ingredients also offered our skin that same level of joy? “As a dermatologist, I always tell my patients to keep it simple,” says consultant dermatologist Dr Justine Hextall, “A common issue I see in clinic is over-complicated skin regimens that leave skin irritated and dry. Looking for products that utilise fewer ingredients can help reduce sensitisation and allergy.”
